CNET has reviewed the best car audio systems in new cars. It likened the race to add more speakers and digital signal processing to new cars to a “sonic arms race.”
Number one on its list of the best sounding systems is the Cadillac CT6 with the Bose Panaray system featuring 34 speakers including two bass drivers in the floor and smaller speakers on the A-pillars.
Second is the Jaguar XJ and Meridian Reference system and third is the Volvo CX90 with a Bowers and Wilkins system.
Others on the list include Audi (B&O), and Mercedes-Benz S class (Burmester).

Someone needs to buy Ray a steak for that idea!
I have read and commented about the C-Net reviews and reports on OE car audio and other electronic stuff before. I think I will petition these folks to conduct an aftermarket review of similarly priced system (probably much lower price actually) and suggest that their readers take a look at the brick & mortar installing specialty retail family.
I’ll keep you posted…
That is a great idea Ray!
