Watch on Track to be Apple’s Biggest Product Launch

Almost 1 million people in the US pre-ordered Apple’s Watch last Friday went it went on pre-sale, said research firm Slice Intelligence, which uses e-receipts to measure digital commerce.

Consumers spent an average $503.83 on the smartwatch, which could make the Watch Apple’s biggest new product release ever, said finance expert Neil Cybart at the Above Avalon blog.   The iPhone took 74 days to hit 1 million in sales at its launch in 2007 and the iPad took 28 days, said the Huffington Post.

“It’s pretty clear that with the Apple Watch, Apple will have its largest product launch,” Cybart told The Huffington Post.
