Head of Mercedes-Benz to Give Keynote at CES

Head of Mercedes-Benz Cars and Daimler Chairman Dr. Dieter Zetsche will present a keynote address at CES during which the company will debut a new car concept.

Zetsche will  also speak on the topic of the self-driving car, and the impact this will have on mobility and society and the environment.

His address is scheduled for 8 PM Monday, January 5 in Las Vegas, at the Chelsea Theater within the Cosmopolitan.

The Consumer Electronics Association said car electronics is one of the key forces “… behind the strength of the global consumer technology industry. The growth of new vehicle sales in 2014 will propel factory-installed systems to reach $11 billion in revenue, an increase of 20 percent over the past year.”

Zetsche began his career at Daimler-Benz in the research department in 1976.  Since then he has served as a member of the Board of Management of Daimler AG since December 1998 and as Chairman of the Board of Management of Daimler AG since January, 2006. He is also Head of Mercedes-Benz Cars Division.

CES will be held January 6-9, 2015 in Las Vegas and will include more than 3,500 exhibitors.
