Audiovox Launches Dyle Mobile DTV Device for Phones

Audiovox Electronics is offering a MobileDTV device that turns phones and tablets into a receiver for live network TV, even while on the go, without an Internet connection.

Called the mobiletv, it delivers free local news, sports and other live digital broadcast TV programming from NBC and Fox as well as ABC, CBS and other leading networks under the Dyle system of Mobile DTV .

The mobiletv plugs into an iOS or Android device to pick up digital network stations broadcast in about 38 markets around the country reaching about 57 percent of the U.S.

The receiver carries a suggested retail price of $129.99 and is available at select regional, national and online retailers.

It is supplied by Siano and uses a free Dyle Mobile TV App by Siano.  The device fits in a pocket and allows pause/rewind features.  It comes with an internal battery providing up to four hours of TV viewing, and a USB charging cable.

Siano is a leading supplier of mobile broadcast DTV solutions based in Israel, whose customers include Huawei, Nokia, LG, Audi and many others.

Audiovox has also announced plans in the past to offer a Dyle DTV rear seat entertainment system but no delivery date has been announced.
