Update: (Samsung is now expected to debut the S IV on March 14 and has issued invitations for a March 14 press event in New York City).
Samsung will introduce the S IV, the next version of its blockbuster Galaxy S smartphones, at a March 15 event, with U.S. release likely in May or June, reports SamMobile.
As with other Galaxy S launches, Europe and Asia will likely receive the phone first, before the end of April.
The Galaxy S IV is rumored to have an 8-core processor, 5-inch Super AMOLED full HD resolution display, and 13 MP rear camera that shoots full 1080p HD video. It is expected to run Android 4.2.1 (Jelly Bean). Other specs according to SamMobile will include 2GB of RAM, and 2 Megapixel front facing camera that shoots 720p HD videos.
