Kicker (Stillwater Designs)  is showing new KX-Series amplifiers at CES offering its widest selection of full-range Class D amplifiers in a small footprint.

The largest new amp now measures 15.5 inches long.  And the line includes Kicker’s highest powered mono amp at 2,400 watts.

Under the new line are 5 mono amps with power ratings (2 ohms) from 400 x 1 to 2,400 x1.  Multi-channel models come in stereo, 4-channels and 5-channels.

The stereo amp model KX200.2 offers 100 x 2 power (2 ohms). It’s joined by the KX400.4 at 100 x4 (2 ohms stereo) and the KX800.5 at 100 x 4 (2 ohms stereo) and 400 x 1.

Kicker claims its mono amplifiers offer 80 percent efficiency, a higher rate than most amplifiers, it said.  It also says the amps use fewer internal parts, allowing for the smaller size, cooler operation and better performance and reliability.

A remote level control is available for the mono and 5-channel amps to control bass from the dash.

The amplifiers use double-sided fiberglass circuit boards and Litz-wound tranformers and Kicker’s “FIT” circuitry for noise rejection.

They will ship in Q1 at suggested retail prices  from  $199.95 to $1129.95.
