Apple is widely expected to introduce a 7.85-inch iPad Mini today, joining the Kindle Fire, Nexus 7, Nook HD and other tablets in the 7-inch category.
The device is rumored to include a Lightning dock connector, which might prompt Apple to release more information on how it will send video out from Lightning devices, including the iPhone 5. This might, in turn, shed light on how Lightning video will work with current car radios.
The rumored iPad Mini is also expected to offer 3G and 4G connectivity and run iOS 6.
Analysts forecast the device will be priced between $249 and $349. We’ll have to wait for the Apple press event at 1 pm Eastern/10 am Pacific for an answer.
